How do I turn the display on my iPad 90 degrees so that its in landscape mode rather than portrait.

I want to use my new smart iPad smart keyboard with my 7th generation iPad. However the iPad display is not vertical , I want to rotate the display 90 degrees clockwise. How do I do this?

1. Apple's Smart Keyboard requires the iPad to be horizontal to work, not vertical. As the smart connector for it is on one of the longer edges.


iPad in Horizontal position looks like this:

  1. Normally, just physically rotating the iPad to the desired orientation should be all it takes.


If the display is not rotating when you rotate the iPad, make sure the Screen Rotation lock is not locked in control center.
