I want to use my new smart iPad smart keyboard with my 7th generation iPad. However the iPad display is not vertical , I want to rotate the display 90 degrees clockwise. How do I do this?

1. Apple's Smart Keyboard requires the iPad to be horizontal to work, not vertical. As the smart connector for it is on one of the longer edges.

If the display is not rotating when you rotate the iPad, make sure the Screen Rotation lock is not locked in control center.

If the display is not rotating when you rotate the iPad, make sure the Screen Rotation lock is not locked in control center.
Due to Smart Connector, that links iPad to the Smart Keyboard, the relative orientation between the two is fixed - assuming combined use in Landscape orientation.
It is not possible to rotate the iPad in relation to the Smart Keyboard.
