Ok, I'm pretty good with iPhones ... This one, however got me... just in the last hour, before syncing my phone with iTunes for the night. I noticed a little blue tab over my signal bars ... what is that for? It's cool, I like it, it even shadows when the status bar is gray. but I updated to 4.0.1 yesterday or day before (my days get mixed up) and this thing just now appears.
Anything would be appreciated ...
btw, I do have a screen shot if anyone would like to see...
You need somewhere to host the picture like Flickr and then you can post a link.
I find it easier to join another forum that lets you emebed images then put a link in here to your post
See, not just me 🙂
I thought about reseting mine but I didn't want to get rid of it until Apple saw it, I have screen shots.
My phone, on it's own, just fixed. I didn't reboot it.
i had the same problem and decided to reboot my phone and it disappeared. i did find it strange how it was the last thing to go when i did turn off my phone. and it appeared there after i got a dropped call when i had full coverage. 5 bars and 3G so i decided to reboot and when i turned my phone back on it appeared there. apple please tell us what i means.
i have an iphone 3Gs and system is 4.0.0 i havnt gotten the new update yet.
You say the blue thing is over the signal bar. Maybe I am referring to something else, but in this image you can see a little blue "tag" thing in the corner of my browser in landscape. It is the same corner where the signal bars would be if I was holding it in portrait mode.
I have the same blue corner, but on my iPad! It also changes corner. When i changed my background it was gone for a while, but now its back again in à different corner!! I have got the impression that it has something to do with the iPod-app.
I just appeared on my phone too (iPhone 4)! I thought my screen was going bad (dead pixels or something like that), but it's clearly a software thing. It appeared for me while I was using Safari and put the phone in to landscape mode, as soon as I put it in to portrait it goes away, put it in to landscape and it comes back. Plus it now seems to happen in other apps too (Mail for instance).
Thanks for your help. However, having the iPhone for 3 years and still only that day, that I had the blue corner. It stayed in the same corner whether is was horizontal or not.
I'm "glad" to hear that there are other with this problem, however ... we still don't have an answer regarding what it is or could be ...
Thanks to everyones interest in my topic .. maybe one day apple inc will get on here and tell us.
