I can’t add my number to the iphone and imessage and facetime still shows my old number as greyed. I tried all ways to change it but they don’t work

How I can add my new number as “my number”, as well as for recieving facetime calls and imessage?

iPhone XS, iOS 13

Try going to settings, then iCloud, then numbers and emails, then click edit and the add a phone number or email the click phone number and enter your phone number
