The new Magic Keyboard is only compatible with 2018 and 2020 models of iPad Pro.

The visible distinguishing features of these models of these 11” and 12.9” models iPad Pro are:

• flat edges
• edge-to-edge screen with no bezels
• FaceID
• USB-C connector

The Magic Keyboard is not compatible with earlier models of iPad, either Pro or otherwise, that feature a Lightning connector.

Sorry no, not the latest magic keyboard: that's a hardware incompatibility, as already stated by LotusPilot.

If I'm not wrong, the new magic keyboard can be used only on these models, running iPadOS 13.4 or later:

12.9" iPad Pro (3rd or 4rth generation)

11" iPad Pro (1st or 2nd generation)

Yes. iPadOS 13 or later (now 13.5.1) is supported by your iPad (if it really is iPad 12.9 1st generation).
