The steps to fix AirPod connectivity issue not working for me

I did everything from restart my iPhone to reset my iPhone entirely and I pressed forget AirPods and did literally everything there is to do but the problem is not fixed.

my AirPods connect to other phones without a problem and my iPhone connects to other AirPods without a problem

but whenever I try to connect my AirPods to my iPhone it doesn’t work.

i get this connecting message for 20 seconds then a red i label appears with a connection failed text

5 seconds later I can see the AirPods bAttery status on my iPhone but still not connected.

please help I tried everything
