Changing the format of a photo

Is there a way to change the format of a photo taken with an iPhone from HEIF to jpg?

Yes. Select it and export as if it were an edited version and select jpeg as the format. Also select the highest JPEG Quality and full size fore the export.


Then import the new version.


For those HEIC files that are not already in the library there's a free app, HEIC Converter, at the App Store. Just drag the HEIC files onto it and they get converted to JPEG while leaving the original HEIC files untouched.
