Repair for a friend’s iPhone who lives outside the US

So I have a friend who lives in Venezuela he bought an iPhone 11 PRO Max with Apple Care. The screen got damaged. He can’t travel from Venezuela to the US. I live in the US. So the question is if he sends me his phone via International Courier so I can take it to an Apple Store for repair (either fix the screen or get a new one depending on the extent of the damage) would that be possible? If so, what would I need to bring to the store to get it fixed? I’d assume the Apple Care proof, the phone, the receipt if available and is an authorization is required? What else? Thank you

Yes. You shouldn't need to bring much of anything other than the phone, your ID and a way to pay for the repair/replacement.

Make sure your friend removes the device from his iCloud account. Apple won't replace it if it's iCloud locked and you can't remove the lock or provide the original Proof of purchase for the device in your name.
