I just got a Apple TV 4K of eBay and when I started it when to a data and privacy screen. The remote won't connect and when I take the plug out and plug it back in it will go to the same screen. Does anyone know how to fix this?
When you say that the remote won't connect, have you tried pairing it rather than just using it (hold the remote a few centimetres from the Apple TV and press the two buttons on the top row of buttons on the remote).
If this doesn't help, go back to eBay and request a refund.

Yes, that would be my thought on the matter too, perhaps it's time for the refund route.
Ive tried it, I even tried connect the remote with another Apple TV and it worked. So now I think it is something with the apple tv.
