Adaptive english on apple tv

The AppleTV is the 1st and original version.

If your Apple TV is a 4" black box, then it is at least 2nd generation. The 1st generation was 7.7" and silver-white.

You should be able to turn off AD as default in Accessibility settings. Restart for good measure. If that doesn’t work, then perhaps consider resetting your Apple TV. Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support
