deactivate iPhone using serial number

i lost my iPhone 4s last March. i want to deactivate it using the phone's serial number

iPhone 4S (8GB)

You need to use Find My Phone to deactivate the phone. You can't do that using the serial number.

Find My iPhone - Erase your device

Find My Phone - If your device is lost or stolen.

Find My Phone - Lock and track your device using Lost Mode.

Oh, Sir Eric. That would be very a lot easier if only I registered that phone to my Apple ID, but I didn't. That's why I want to know if it is possible to deactivate my lost phone using its serial number. But you said no, that breaks my heart.
