Locked into Guided Access

I'm locked into guided access. I don't have the code. My disabled son somehow did it. I can't power down, I can't do anything! How the heck do we get out of guided access without the code he accidentally set up? He can't communicate to me what it is. help!!!

Force Restart your iPad to get out of Guided Access.

Since you don't say which iPad you own, see these directions:

iPad models with Face ID: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button. Press and quickly release the Volume Down button. Then press and hold the Power button until the device restarts.
iPad with Home button, iPhone 6s or earlier, and iPod touch (6th generation) or earlier: Press and hold both the Home and the Top (or Side) buttons until you see the Apple logo.
