I'm trying to figure out how to let my son use gift cards entered under my ID. The payment info says that that the gifts cards can only be used by me, and others charges vian Family Sharing will go on my credit card. I want to change this.
They need to be redeemed into the account that'll use them. If desired, click here and ask the iTunes Store staff to put the balance back onto the cards; they'll only do this if none of it has been spent.

OK thank you. We had difficulty doing that before, which is why they were under my Apple ID. Under my son's account, it said all payments were handled through my Apple ID, and we did not see any way to enter gift cards there.
