I log into my iPad with my appleID and password, all is fine. I can log into my Apple Account, with same id and password. I was able to do a software update with the same password. When I try to "update all" for my apps, I use the same password and it tells me "Verification Failed" WHY?? I'm not sure what to do.
Hopefully at some point you thoroughly cleansed the iPad. Otherwise, you may be troubled by additional problems later.

Oops I lied. LOL I guess they were under my Mom's id, and I took her iPad when she died. I deleted them all and I'm moving the same apps from my "purchased - not on this iPad" Thank you! I thought as I was signed in, they were all my apps.
One possible reason is that your Apple ID is not the one that was used to purchase all apps, music, books, etc. that exists on your iPad.
No they were all purchased under this AppleID, they are also on my phone.
