I also have a 2017 13" Macbook Pro. Exact same issue just started happening 2 days ago. I've done both of these resets and to no avail. It seems to have about a 2" shaded area on the left of the screen and then the fine vertical lines in the center. As the day progresses there seems to be ghosting of the windows and in some cases content that was previously in the same part of the screen is still visible.

The more I'm searching about this problem the more threads I'm coming across of other 2017 MB Pro users with the same problem.

I'm actually quite disappointed that there's not an extended repair program for this issue. My notebook has been sitting on my laptop stand for 5 months now since working at home, so there's not been any movement of the device when this problem cropped up.
