Email verification failure

I can sign in using my Apple ID but it says the email is not verified. When I request a verification code and enter it, it states 'this email address is not available. Choose a different address' bearing in mind that is the email address the code got sent to in the first place. Help please ....

There apparently are a number of situations that result in a "this email address is not available" message. I have not seen a definitive solution for any of them. But, I suggest you use my search link (this email is not available apple) in trying to solve your problem. You will see a number of links that are may be related to your specific problem.

Apple hasn’t published any guidance for using an address again. Normally, if your e-mail address was associated with an ID in any way, for example as a Reachable at or Rescue e-mail address, then it can't be reused with another Apple ID for approximately one year. I have also seen posts that stated Apple told them there was a 30 day waiting period before the address could be used again.  You will need to get another e-mail address to use as your Apple ID or you can try waiting 30 days to see if that works.


There have been posts by people who have contacted Apple Support and they were told that if you delete an ID associated with an email address, you can never reuse the email address for an Apple ID.  I have also seen posts that stated Apple told them there was a 30 day waiting period before the address could be used again.You will need to get another e-mail address to use as your Apple ID or you can try waiting 30 days to see if that works.
