Hello Randy Sh,

Welcome to Apple Support Communities!

I understand from your question that your messages have numbers and not names. I can certainly help you with this!

To verify, you've set up the names matching the phone numbers in the Contacts app, correct? Manage and delete contacts on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If so, then ensure your iPhone is updated: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch

If the issue persists, tap Settings > General > Language & Region. Change the Region setting to a different one. Then, change the Region setting back to the correct region. Restart your iPhone and then test the behavior:

I hope this is able to resolve your issue. If you have any more questions or this does not resolve your issue, please reach back out on the thread!

Cheers.
