Hey there I'm Egyptian and I traveled to US for a military training with the US army and I purchased a second hand device ( iPhone x 64 GB) and after I came back to Egypt I made an update for my iPhone it doesn't work because of the activation lock and I'm now in Egypt and I don't have any numbers or accounts for the previous owner

What can I do to make the iphone x work again ?

See Turn off Activation Lock https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201441. iPhones, iPads, and iPods are covered here.

If you acquired your device second hand, you usually would need to obtain the needed password from the person that last set it up. If you can’t obtain it, in the rare case your device came activation locked from an authorized Apple seller, then contact Apple Support and present your original purchase receipt for your device with the device’s serial number on it. You’ll need a photo ID too.

I see that neither of these things I mentioned above is possible for you. Thus, the device will be useless to you.
