No, only 2012 and later MacBook Pro. See compatibility section of How to upgrade to macOS Catalina - Apple Support

Depending on which system and mac you could mean by what you wrote,

the next supported macOS could be 10.14.6 Mojave. ~ The mac is too old to

run Catalina. -- Perhaps may not support Mojave either.

{..Your mac pro (tower) would likely require a 'Metal compatible' graphics card..}

If you meant a portable macbook, then no. This Mojave won't run in 2011 model.

Mac Pro introduced in 2013, plus mid-2010 or mid-2012 models

with a recommended Metal-capable graphics card.

"..To find your Mac model, memory, storage space, and macOS version, choose

About This Mac from the Apple menu . ~ If your Mac isn't compatible with

macOS Mojave, the installer will let you know.."

Link to read about and download Mojave 10.14.6 Installer (it then can get the

hours-long wait for system files from Apple servers) here:

• How to upgrade to macOS Mojave (10.14.6) - Apple Support

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210190

"If you have hardware or software that isn't compatible with Mojave, you might

be able to install an earlier macOS, such as High SierraSierra, or El Capitan."

Good luck & happy trails!🌞🎣
