Maybe this is a remedy:

• Delete AU cache: (User > Library > Caches > "com.apple.audiounits.cache"

• Delete Logic Preferences: (Users > Library > Preferences > "com.apple.logic10.plist"

and "com.apple.logic.pro.cs"

• Restart Logic.

Yes, same exact issue here. I cannot open the application. It scans all plugins, then no matter what options I choose, "abort," "continue," or "Start Plug-in Manager," the application becomes completely unresponsive. I would love to be able to downgrade to 10.5 because I am 99% certain that this is because of the update. I am not able to get Logic Pro X open in ANY way shape or form even though I've been trying for hours, and it is extremely frustrating.

You could try Starting Logic while holding Shift + CTRL keys on your mac keyboard. This will run Logic in Audio Units Safe mode ,and will load only the Audio Units that have passed the AU Validation - I’ve not used this in 10.5 but it used to work.

I have the exact same problem.....10.5 was great and then the updating info about audio unit plugins and I stopped it because it felt like it was hanging. The next morning after an automatic update I woke up to 10.5.1 and certain recent projects generate crash report. I can't decipher it though.....Funny I can open Logic and can record a new project but I can't seem to bring up recently recorded projects for some reason and some I can.......Driving me nuts

For people who don't know hot to find a Logic Crash Report:

1) In Finder, hold down CMD key and then press space bar.

2) Fill in "Console" and then double click on the search result.

Console will now open.

3) Click "Crash Reports" (which is on the left side of the window)

4) Under Process Name, check if you see Logic and or auvaltool.

5) Click on them and a Logic Crash report or auvaltool Crash report will be visible.

Yes I do have the crash report (s) there is nothing obvious ie Replika caused the crash

But things that look familiar in the crash report haze are

Spitfire.Auntie

Kontakt MusicDevice component

Scaler2

crashed with x86Thread state (64 bit)

com.apple.music.apps.MALogicLegacySong (10.5.1 - 5299)

Components/WaveShell1-AU 10.0.component/Contents/Resources/WaveShell-AU-CocoaView.bundle/Contents/MacOS/WaveShell-AU-CocoaView

Components/WaveShell1-AU 9.92.component/Contents/Resources/WaveShell-AU-CocoaView.bundle/Contents/MacOS/WaveShell-AU-CocoaView

Blackbox analogue Design

Invisible Limiter

NOTE everything worked fine in 10.5 so I have to ask myself and others who are having similar problems "what did they change to cause the new malfunction

tried to open the crash report.. I don't get how to do the first step: In finder holding Cmd+Space bar. Each time Siri pops up when I press Cmd+space !

Where do you open the finder, in the upper bar and clicking on "go" or you open the finder in the Doc?

Eather way didn't work. Something I do wrong. Where exactly you go and click in finder with the mouse ?

Thank you
