I bought some storage but it keep saying need storage

Where does it say you need storage and what is the exact message?

Buying iCloud storage does not increase the storage space on your phone.

Seems u have many data uploaded to iCloud storage, u can go to settings, then press ur Apple ID name on top of screen , then press manage icloud storage and see what is taking up all ur storage
