I have twice accidentally "activated" some kind of smart replies ("Fine", "okay" etc.) in imessage on my iPhone but I can't reproduce them. I did it by some kind of clumsy fat fingers tapback. I can only activate the emotions (Heart, thumbs, "haha" etc.) by tapback.
I can't find anything online about these - anyone here knows anything about this and how they can be used?

use 3d touch on a message in the message overview and you’ll get three different smart replies 😊

It sounds like you saw some suggested replies and would like to know more.
The behavior you're describing sounds consistent with Siri Suggestions:
"Type: As you enter text, Siri can suggest names of movies, places—anything you viewed on iPhone recently. If you tell a friend you’re on your way, Siri can even suggest your estimated arrival time."
