ipad won't connect to computer/itunes

alright so, my ipad reads "ipad is disabled, connect to itunes" however, upon connection to my computer it does not come up in itunes or in finder and it is as if the connection does not exist (as shown in system information). I have no backup, and i want to get it to connect so I can back it up however, without it connecting I cannot do that. I understand I can factory reset it, but I don't want to lose the stuff on my Ipad. I've tried different cords, ports , computers, even windows. Is there any way to solve this without wiping my ipad?

Once you are at this stage and your iPad is disabled, wiping it and losing all the data will be the only way to get your iPad back functional. It's too late to back it up at this point.
