ipad pro email password

I’m having trouble changing my email password. It keeps reverting back to the old password after it’s verified and saved the new password. I’ve seen other posts about deleting the old password in keychain for MAC but can’t find anything like that for the iPad Pro.

Passwords saved in your keychain do not automatically change/update the email account passwords configured in you iPad Settings.


After you have changed the account password(s) with your email provider, you will need to update the password in Settings. Each email account usually requires the password to be changed in two locations - one for your incoming IMAP/POP3 server, the other for your outgoing SMTP server:


Settings > Passwords & Accounts > [Email Account Name] > Account Password

Settings > Passwords & Accounts > [Email Account Name] > SMTP [Primary Server] > Password
