Music

Hi there, I have an Amazon echo device and on occasions I would like to send the Apple Music on my iPhone to that Bluetooth speaker, but it isn't showing it on the list of options for audio output from my iPhone pro, could you help please?

Thank you

hello again Chris,

I just had a try and looked at your link but unfortunately it’s not giving the information I needed.

I have no problem in getting the Amazon echo to recognise my music library if I speak to it, but if I am on my phone browsing through my Apple Music library, and want to change the audio output from the phone to the echo speaker, the echo speaker is not on the list of audio options.

Hi Sarah,

I think I’m probably explaining myself incorrectly.

But what I want is for me to be on my iPhone looking at my Apple Music, and then using the drop-down audio option in the app to select another speaker to play the music from.

The Apple Music app lists my SoundTouch as an option if I wished, but does not show the Amazon echo Speaker which just happens to be on the same Wi-Fi network and in the same proximity as the Bose Soundtouch.

Before Apple Music I was subscribing to Deezer, and the Deezer app on my phone would give me the options of speaker output directly to the echo speaker as well as the Bose soundtouch.

Speaking to the Amazon echo to play Apple Music is no problem, it does that perfectly well, but the reason I want the other option using the Apple Music app on my phone is because I can be more specific with tunes that I am looking at and at the time.

many thanks.
