How to find MS WORD lost file in MAC system air 2017?

 Hello sir, today morning was working in my MS word.  I have save my file and make sure everything was good. When I open my data file again. MS Word give notice you don’t have privilege to access this file. Later system is showing file is deleted. I have checked the file in Trash as well. I am unable to find my file. My tow important file has been lost.  Its really important could you please help me to find my MS file.

Confirm that "PHD CAU" is the name of the Startup Drive, the one you boot from?

Or, is it an external drive?


If it is the Startup Drive, I don't know how you managed to create anything at that level of the drive. The top level of the startup drive is not accessible by anyone.

Did you do that before upgrading to Catalina?


If it is an external drive, select the Drive in Finder and Get Info (cmd-I)

What is the Format of the drive in the top section, and what does it say in the Sharing & Permissions section?

Is "Ignore ownership on this volume" checked or unchecked?
