Apple TV (gen 1)

I am trying to sign in to an older Apple TV but it will not accept my Apple ID password, which I know is correct. It asks me to enter the 2 factor authentication verification code after my password but there is no place to do that. How can I bypass this or where can I enter the code?

If you see a password box, enter the password (ABC) followed by the code (123) or ABC123 (no spaces).

Thank you. I have tried this (numerous times) but it continues to tell me my password is incorrect...
