IPad mini stuck on activation lock screen

Hello. I have iPad mini purchased around 2015 which is with my Grandmom in another continent. It shows activation lock screen- I tried to disable it via iCloud but I didn’t see the device under my account.

Can you please guide? I have original purchase receipt tagged to my apple account if required.

If you have the proof of purchase of that device, make an appointment at an Apple Store showing that document and they will unlock its activation lock.
