Cracked iPhone charger

Does anyone’s charger crack like this? Both of mine have done this and I’m not too sure if that’s normal or not. Will Apple fix this?

Help - Lightning charger cable corrosion Hey all, I've found the 4th pin on my iPhone charger that has been blackened. Strange as my iPhone is 6-7 months old at best. I have tried to rub it out but it appears that just removed a bit of the corrosion is there some kind of safe way of removing this out ? Thanks for your answers.
