Probable Scam Email

I just received an email purporting to be from Apple, saying my account was used to sign in and purchase Mortal Combat from the App Store on a device never used on my account before . It looks authentic - EXCEPT that the attached receipt is a WORD document. Surely Apple, of all companies, would not use Word. Is this pretty likely to be a scam? I have already sent it to the Apple Phishing email.
