Can I use my US 2017 27" iMac in Europe? Power cord says "10A 125V" but Europe Voltage is 220V

Hi everyone,

I hope you are staying safe and healthy!

I have purchased a 2017 iMac in the US. The specs of the iMac itself clearly state that the iMac could be used in a 220V country as you can see in this screenshot ("100-240V").

However, the power cord that came with the iMac says "10 A 125V" (see screenshot), suggesting that I cannot use this cord in a 220V country. Could a simple adapter like the one below work or do I need to buy a new cord? In most forums, people state that the iMac is dual voltage and adapts to the 220V automatically but no body addresses whether the cord that says "125V" can be used.

Could this adapter work even if the cord says "125V"

Thank you for your help!

Thank you Kappy! Just to confirm, even if the cord says 125V I should feel free to use it in a 220V country? Also, you mentioned the need of an adaptor. Would the one in the screenshot of my first message work?

Your power cord is adequate since the current is only 5A @ 220V. You will need a wall outlet adapter, however, for each country in Europe because they are not compatible with the US. You can buy them at AAA stores or Apple.
