Multiple audio tracks without video
Is it possible to lay multiple audio tracks in iMovie without video?

You can place audio clips sequentially along the audio well timeline without having video.
If you want to stack the clips, you will need to insert a background, typically black, and then place the audio clips one on top of another like this:
