MacBook Pro 15-inch 2019, Overheating problem

Hi there, I have a

problem with my MacBook Pro 2019 and I hope you can help me.

Last year I bought a

MacBook Pro 2019 (August 2019), please have a look at the device information:

Unfortunately, the temperature of the device has become too high,

this was happening, when I did a simple work on the MacBook Pro like watching YouTube or using Safari.

I was even afraid to touch the top of the device,

especially the center of the Touch Bar.

The temperature of the device was so high that, I couldn't touch the keyboard comfortably. I became afraid that the device

could explode or burn.

For this reason, I purchased an

external keyboard (Logitech MX KEYS).

I contacted Apple’s customer service and they gave me a contact for an authorized service.

Now I got an email from them that they need to exchange the Logic

Board- (Logic Board, i9, 2.3GHz, 16GB, 512GB,)

I want to ask if somebody experienced a similar problem.

And what was the solution?

Thank you for any help

Hi Lanny .

Thank you for your answer.

my problem is now that my laptop is in service, they just sent me email that they will change the Logic board. I’m not sure if this is normal that I payed 3000 eur and I have to change Logicboard. I experienced the high temperature issue from beginning. So my thoughts were that it was a defective product from beginning. I will wait they will let me know if it’s ready.

Hi Verdee2000

Thank you for your response.

I’m in shock now,

I don’t know how it will be now?

I got this message from Apple Authorised Service

((( Issue verified. Unit running hot on low activity and fans running high. replacement Logic Board ordered. Replacement ETA 4-5 working days.)))

I don’t even know what the solution will be??!

Regarding warranty here in Ireland we have only 1 year warranty🥺😭

Hi guys, I got my computer back 3 days ago, they should change Logic-board. It went well for 2 days the computer was like new. Today I started experiance overheating again. I used my computer just for internet purpose, Safari and YouTube. Can I found out if the Logicboard was changed or just repaired? Does it have a serial number?

Thanks for help

if they are changing the logic board - it means processor, RAM, hdd and graphic card on it are also getting changed...they are all on it. you should not worry as usually you get a new one. that has been my experience.

it is not a good feeling if defect arises so soon....hope your problem be solved...

are you are covered by the 3 year warranty...you must take one..

I am also a user not an expert. . .on apple machines after 2016 I have begun to take 3 years warranty..

https://www.apple.com/ie/legal/statutory-warranty/

check this link - it says that apple care is available in ireland? please find out if it is available for macbook pro there. I think it should be.

you will be fine after this service and your machine will become as good as new from my limited understanding..because they are saying that they are replacing the logic board...

good luck!
