I need the serial number to book appointment

I mistakenly reset/deleted the Macintosh. Now, my laptop is completely blank/dark. I want to install mac os sierra.

I know I need my serial number to access Apple Support, but because of this issue I can't reinstall the iOS and can't access the serial number. And it looks like I have a Mac harddrive listed, along with a new drive called "update" Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Serial number not available Unable to obtain IMAC serial number to get help. IMAC recovery does not list installation disks to install OS system. Used command R when powering up, Disk Utility lists Internal Drive and disk 2 for Mac OS X base system. Install OS X mountain lion does not show any disks to select for installation.

Look on the bottom of the computer for the serial number.
