Google Meet keeps switching to the mic on my headphones, but I want it to stay on the mic from my webcam. It mostly works until my headphones are turned off and then back on. Is there a way to permanently disable the mic on my headphones in the mac settings so Google Meet never picks it again?

Apps are supposed to allow you to pick the desired source. Is that not an option in the app's preferences.
If you remove the audio input source while the app is running, it will likely pick another source that is available. That lunes like the opposite of what is happening, though.
The Sound System Preferences is where you set the system-wide sources. Whether an app chooses those over another is up to the app. Does the input source change in the System Preferences when you tun off then on the headphones?
