blue dot in logic pro x region grayed out

I have an audio track with numerous takes. It is now appearing grayed out with a blue dot in the region next to the region name. I can't get the region to play. The track is not muted and as best I can tell neither is the region. Any thoughts?

Why are newly recoded regions expanding outward Here's what's happening. Every time I record an 8 or 16 bar region or start a new drummer track, the entire regions just shoot out as though I'm dragging them across the screen. Regions repeating itself.. I don't know how it happened as I may have mistakenly used a wrong command somewhere in the project. Please Help, Thanks, Barry

autopunch Ok, So I use autopunch on selected regions when I want to redo a piece of a song. This worked nicely before. Now suddenly the selected regions turn off as soon as I press 'R' to start recording. WTF? Anyone have any ideas as to what might cause this. I've made no changes to settings that I know of. everynameintheuniverse
