As the title says iTunes will not connect to the store or the update server, I have an active connection and have never experienced this problem before so it therefore cannot be firewall etc. Please help
I have the same problem since updating to the latest version of iTunes on 22/7/10.I am using windows vista and my ISP is tiscali. There is another thread which suggests it could be an issue between the latest iTunes and the ISP settings. Who is your ISP? Is it talk talk/ tiscali or piped by any chance?
hey guys, I've been on this problem for 5 days now nothing you can do will solve this error, ''itunes could not connect to the itunes store make sure your network connection is active and try again'' I'm running XP SP3 and my ISP is tiscali (talk talk, pipex)all one and the same. I have spent hours on the phone to both tiscali and apple support who still cant solve the problem. Apple are calling me back tomorrow to offer more help. Trust me when I tell you I have tried everything on apples discussion site and nothing will work. The only way I can connect to the itunes store is on my laptop using another ISP.
If anyone has the same problem and has solved it I would love to hear how.
I cant test it at the moment as the cursed USB ports for the computer have gone out hence cannot update Ipad. Getting it fixed tomorrow so will report back then also.
Have you recieved an answer to this problem? I am having the same difficulty. I was able to connect once. lighting struck the house, and my computer rebooted, and have been unable to reconnect. Anny suggestions?
