I just completed my Time Machine installation on a new MacBook Pro from a backup from my old MacBook. Everything is working fine except that when I open Itunes, it keeps quitting unexpectedly and never opens up. Has anyone else had this problem?

    I have the same problem. I use Migration to put the files I had on my iMac to my new MacBook Pro. It would not work so I reinstalled iTunes. It still does not work. I keep getting the message
    "ITunes quit unexpectedly.
    Click Reopen to open the application again. This report will be sent to Apple automatically.

    Hi, I had exactly the same issue when I was setting up my new MBP a few weeks ago.

    Have you updated all the software on your new macbook pro? I spent hours and hours trying things like re-transferring etc, and eventually tried checking for software updates. After that it worked fine. I think there was an update for itunes or genius or something. (It's a shame they don't suggest this in the troubleshooting section of the manual - would have saved me a lot of time!)
