my phone is on the highest volume but it sounds like no sound,my volume button isnt working, and i have the 10 max so what do i do

Thanks for posting on Apple Support Communities. I see that your volume button no longer functions and you aren't hearing any sounds from your device. Can you hear sound through the speaker when you play music? Or is your phone just not ringing when receiving calls? If no sounds are working at all on your device the troubleshooting steps in this resource may be helpful. If you hear no sound or distorted sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch speaker.

Since the volume button isn't functioning have you tried using the accessibility feature called AssistiveTouch to see if that functions? You can enable AssistiveTouch for any of the buttons on your device in case they are not working. Follow the steps in this article to see if that works, Use AssistiveTouch on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Also verify that your iPhone is up to date. If it is not currently running iOS 13.5.1, Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

If after following these steps you are still experiencing an issue, contact Apple Support.
