New IPhone SE stuck on set up/ update

Does anyone know how to rectify this? I’ve just upgraded my phone contract and got the IPhone SE 2020. I’m trying to set it up and transfer everything from my old phone to my new one. Everything is going fine until it tries to instal the software update. There is no option to skip/not do this. It takes about an hour or two downloading the update then gets stuck on this screen every time with the little loading wheel. It won’t let me tap ‘install now’. I’ve tried turning every other device in my house off so the WiFi signal is stronger to my new phone, using different WiFi network etc. I’ve attempted it 5 times over the past 2 days and it always gets stuck here. Please help.

Hi Ehayles,

I understand you are unable to update your iPhone.

I would recommend reviewing this article: If you can't update or restore your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch.

Alternatively, if you don't have access to a computer, I would recommend you Setup As a New Device (ie. do not restore a backup), then once setup, update via Settings > General > Software Update.

Once updated, you can erase your device (Settings > General > Reset > Erase All Content & Settings) and restore your backup.
