Ipad Pro 12inch USB-C headphone adapter

I would like to use my wired headphones with my IPAD 12 inch.

I have the Apple adapter, USB-C to 35mmm and have plugged my wired headphones into it and nothing.

Really could use some wired headphone adaptability when my Bluetooth ear buds run out of charge.

A Few Thoughts:

  • Headphones Not Working:

If your Headphones Don't Work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod - Apple Support

  • Volume Limit:

Increase the Volume Limit: Go to: Settings > Music > Disable: Volume Limit

  • Adjust the volume:

Adjust the Volume on iPad - Apple Support

  • Restart your iPad:

Having made a change, restarting it, manually: Restart your iPad - Apple Support

  • Use Other Devices:

Try these earphones on another device you may have - and try other earphones on this device.

You are welcome. Let us know how it works out, and if you have any other questions.

Contacting Apple Support:

A. Phone Support Info:

B. Note: Phone Calls are Currently a Wait:

Due to the Coronavirus Pandemic, phone calls are taking a lot longer than usual. So, take this up with Apple, despite how long it may take to get on the phone. With many out of work, and many home from school, phone calls will likely take a while to go through — so, just stay on the line. Ask the Apple Rep — they’ll see this and will run you through the fix. Chats are taking a bit longer too.

A Few Thoughts...

Clean out the 3.5mm Aux port. Use Canned Air.

If that does not work...

Backup iPad and then Reinstall the iOS. Restore from the iOS backup.

First, Backup the iPad: Back up iPad - Apple Support. That way you have something to restore your Mac from, should anything go wrong.

Then...

Go Here, and Follow Promptly: Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support. I recommend scrolling down to: Update your device using your computer

Disable Bluetooth:

If you use Bluetooth headphones, but not at the moment, then disable Bluetooth. See if it then works.
