Security update 2020-003 vers. 10.13.6 was installed on my mac 5/28/20; and again today 6/19/20. Does this sound right?
Why would same security update be installed on my mac on different days?

Yes, incredible as it seem Apple released a second Security update 2020-003 with the same name as the first one because of many crashes trying to install the first version, not sure but as I recall the 2nd one was released on the 30th.
