"Other" Storage

I have an iPhone with 32Gb of storage. On my phone, I'm constantly getting a notification that my storage is full, even though I have to delete apps and photos all the time to meet this request. When I look at my storage, it says that "Other" is taking up 17Gb of my storage, which is over half. This is highly frustrating as I can't fix this or do anything about it. Why does "Other" take up so much storage? This is ridiculous.

There is certainly a reason, but we don’t know what it is without knowing much more about your particular situation.

Perhaps you have one or more corrupt apps. Perhaps you have an incomplete iCloud transaction in progress. Those are two common reasons.

You might restore the iPhone, and be very careful about what apps you keep on the iPhone. Also be certain you know and monitor the status of your iCloud transactions- backups, photo uploads/downloads, etc.
