Upgrade deactivated my Microsoft office

I just recently updated my MacBook Pro and now my excel is asking me to activate. I don’t have a Microsoft account that I pay for, I automatically had it already on my Mac when I bought it. How do I get it activated again.

Microsoft Office 2011 and older do not work with Catalina. You need a new version of Office.
