I have a late 2009 computer with Mac OS HIGH SIERRA on it. I was working on another problem with an Apple Tech who was excellent and she told me it is no longer working. When I google Jabber it give instuctions to download Cisco Jabber app. What is going on in simple terms.

or the Jabber protocol that Apple removed from Messages?

I don’t understand according to Google Mohave 10.14 jabber for messages stopped. I’m using high Sierra 10.13.6. It was working but just stopped all of a sudden and I don’t use Mohave also I didn’t update my computer.
The last time it worked I thought was June 6th, however I have two accounts AOL and Jabber. When I connect to Jabber now my name comes up but it seems all my buddies are gone. It then says trying to connect but it never goes thru and when I try it just keeps saying trying to connect but it never does. Thanks so much for your help. At least I have it working via AOL so i will leave it alone. Thanks for your time and help.
I’m talking about Jabber for messages on my Mac computer. So Apple removed Jabber. Do you know when this happened. I had it not long ago.
Than you, I see what you’re saying is if it is working it won’t last much longer.
