How do I install a Canon PIXMA MG 2500 printer on my MacBook Air

Unfortunately this printer is not AirPrint compatible.


So start here:

Add a printer on Mac - Apple Support


And then you may need to obtain Canon's driver:

Is it a WiFi printer? If YES then connect it to the same WiFi Network that your MacBook Air is connected. Follow the instructions that came with your printer as far as setting up the WiFi connection.

Once that is completed then open System Preferences on your MacBook Air and then choose Printers & Scanners. Your printer should appear in the list and you can add it at that time.
