When you transfer data, photos and music from a mini ipad (version 11.1.1) to a 7th generation ipad, does all the data, photos and music also remain on the original ipad?

you make a backup of the old one, use that backup to set up the new one and the old one remains as it is while the new one is a near clone of the old one (you may need to enter passwords, etc)
