MacBook locked, forgot password
I set up & gave my older MacBook Pro to a friend who Later forgot his password & is now locked out, how to re-cover notebook?

The right way to transfer ownership to someone is to follow these instructions: What to do before you sell, give away, or trade in your Mac. Hopefully either you or your friend did that, but if he is unable to reset his password using the reset instructions above he'll have to do it anyway.
