I have never seen that preference or at least don't remember ever seeing it. OK, I found it. In Catalina it is not installed automatically. Activate the Finder and select Go To Folder from the Finder's Go menu. Enter this path: /System/Library/PreferencePanes/ then click on the Go button. Scroll down to find Profiles.prefPane. Double-click on it to install it in System Preferences. That should do the trick.

It's not. Only those already present are checked. There is no way to add Profiles in this way. I just checked on my system. I tried the double-click on Profiles.prefPane which opens it but does not put it in System Preferences as I thought it should. I'm thinking one may have to create and drag an alias to it into the PreferencePanes folders in the /Library/ folder.

Open System Preferences. Click and hold on the Show All button in the Toolbar.

A list of all the Preferences will show, at the bottom of the list is Customise, click on that.

System Preferences will now display with check boxes next to each Preference, those that are checked will show in the

normal System Preferences panel, those not checked will not, if Profiles is available check the box next to it and press Done.
