The following table lists the new tones and their meaning:
Tone(s) Description
1 tone, a 5-second pause, repeat No RAM installed
3 successive tones, a 5-second pause, 3 successive tones RAM does not pass data integrity check
1 long tone when holding down the power button Firmware upgrade in process. See About firmware updates for Intel-based Macs for more details.
3 long tones, 3 short tones, 3 long tones Firmware restoration from CD in process. See About the Firmware Restoration CD (Intel-based Macs) for more details.

Can you count the beeps or flashes?
1 beep = no RAM installed
2 beeps = incompatible RAM types
3 beeps = no good banks
4 beeps = no good boot images in the boot ROM (and/or bad sys config block)
5 beeps = processor is not usable
In addition to the beeps, on some computers the power LED will flash a corresponding number of times plus one. The LED will repeat the sequence after approximately a 5-second pause. The tones are only played once.
Note: In this case, a flash is considered to be 1/4 second or 250 ms or greater in length.

Thanks for your quick reply.
But RAM is already installed and it was working all fine... it even got started and i just click on user name to login to the machine.. on click everything went away and the machine starts beeping. Now, beep sound is also stopped but the machine is not turning ON.
Try unplugging the power cable for second, plug it back in and then press the Power button. If that's what it takes each time to restart you may have a power supply problem.
Try booting into Safe Mode (How to use safe mode on your Mac - Apple Support) by booting with the Shift key held down and check there to see if the problem persists. Reboot normally and test again.
NOTE: Safe Mode boot can take up to 10 minutes as it's doing some system cache cleaning, volume verifying and directory repairing.
Also make sure the RAM modules are securely seated in their sockets.
Yes tried this solution but didn't worked.. the machine is not even starting.. it is just beeping.
And it is a mac machine and hence couldn't check the RAM modules.
I cant see anything on screen it is just the beep sound.
All 27" iMacs (except the iMac Pro) can have the RAM upgraded or changed by the user. That's somewhat of a dirty trick they've played on iMac Pro owners. 😔
It may be time to make an appointment at the nearest Apple Genius Bar (if the stores are open in your area) or at the nearest Apple Authorized Service Provider for a checkup.
Instead of saying no RAM installed, it should say no RAM detected, or serious RAM problem.
Any luck?
I am having the same issue and it is quite annoying especially when on video conf calls and when recording but generally annoying. I have tried to shut the computer down, restart while pressing OPTION,COMMAND,P and R keys. It stops then starts again. Mine started no problem. It beeps when on, while I work etc...
Clearly a bug that needs a patch.
