Normally a limit just slows down the phone. If the limit actually cuts off all cellular data then FindMy won’t work unless the phone has a Wi-Fi connection. But you will have to check with Verizon, and ask if you can increase the limit to use FindMy.

That depends what you mean by “runs out of data”. If you have a prepaid SIM and there is no data left on it then you don’t have an Internet connection, so Find My won’t work. But you should be able to go online and add data to your account with your SIM provider. If you mean something different, please explain.
Grand-daughter’s phone has a data limit (Verizon Family Plan shared data). She regularly uses the limit. Will Find My still be able to show the device location, even though she has reached data limit?
